Man chops ex-partner’s companion to death in jealous rage

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a chopping murder in the village of Bella Vista in the Toledo District.

Just after midnight on Saturday, Police responded to reports of a chopping incident at the residence of 33 year old Denia Montolla. She reported that, at about midnight whilst standing in her yard with 46-year-old Ernest Ellis Blanco, who accompanied her home, her ex-common law husband, Elias Pacheco, exited a grey vehicle armed with a machete.

According to Montolla, Pacheco allegedly inflicted several chop wounds on Blanco before he managed to flee. However, Blanco fell on an unnamed street in the village where he was found and transported to the Independence Poly Clinic, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigations continue.
