Benque Viejo United, Wagiya draw 1-1 in PLB

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Benque Viejo United drew 1-1 with Wagiya at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Saturday night in Premier League of Belize (PLB).

Clayton Fitzgibbon converted from the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 45’ after a sliding tacke in the box by Darren Miss.

Benque Viejo United responded in the 55’. Nahjib Guerra saved the ball from going over the goal line on the right of the box, turned , centered for an incoming Iwne Sosa who spectacularly headed the ball into the net for the final 1-1 draw.

Wagiya move up to to 11 points alongside San Pedro Pirates, who also drew in Saturday night, and are still in third place with San Pedro in fourth.

Benque Viejo United now total five points and are still seventh.
