The preferred academic fields in which Belizean students were awarded are Business Administration (MBA 20%), Project Management (20%), Environmental Studies (15%), Digital Technologies (10%), and Energy Conservation (5%).

The OAS Academic Scholarship Program (Regular Program) was established in 1958 and grants scholarships every year to pursue a Master’s Degree, Doctoral Degree, and Graduate Research leading to a university degree.

The OAS Special Caribbean Scholarships Program (SPECAF) was established in 1983 and grants scholarships for the last 2 years of undergraduate studies to citizens and residents of the English-speaking Caribbean, and Suriname.

In addition to these programs, the OAS through its Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC) and the Professional Development Scholarships Program (PDSP) offers other attractive scholarship opportunities, for academic studies and short-term training courses, with the support of its partner institutions.
