Belize Weather: Sunny day, stormy night

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service today forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells; a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect southern and central areas this morning, decreasing this afternoon. Tonight, skies will be cloudy at times with an increase in showers and thunderstorms countrywide.

High temperatures will reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees in inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 79 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The sea will be light chop with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be high at 11:20 this morning and 11:22 tonight and low at 5:33 this evening. Sunset is at 5:57 this evening and sunrise on Tuesday morning at 5:40.

Some showers and thunderstorms are forecast countrywide on Tuesday, decreasing to the south and coast on Tuesday night.
