BREAKING: Restaurant waitress identified as body in Independence Cemetery

By Aaron Humes: Police have identified the body found in the Independence, Stann Creek District village cemetery as Marcelina Makin, a restaurant waitress.

Around 6:29 this morning her body was seen motionless on top of a white tile tomb lying face down with cut wounds to the back of her head and face.

Police say she was last seen on Friday at work at a restaurant in Independence Village. She had not been seen or heard from until she was found this morning in an early state of decomposition.

Police investigations continue.
