Man charged for assaulting his girlfriend who is a police officer

By Breaking Belize News: A 24-year-old Belize City man accused of assaulting his girlfriend, who is a police officer, has been granted bail.

Frank Solano appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, answering to a single count of harm.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $800.

A report filed against Solano by the victim explained that the couple had attended a social event on the day of the assault, and Solano approached her when they got home uttering accusations that she knew nothing of.

During the exchange, he allegedly became violent and punched her several times to the neck.
