Belize represented at a regional meeting of tourism ministers

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize is among the countries represented at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO’s) Meeting of the Council of Tourism Ministers and Commissioners being held in the Cayman Islands this week.

The meeting, which runs from September 12-15, is the CTO’s first in-person function since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations Anthony Mahler is at the meeting, accompanied by Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation Andre Perez, Chairman of the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) Mohit Budhrani, and the BTB’s Director of Tourism Evan Tillett.

The event will feature the selection of a new Chairman for the CTO’s Council of Ministers, an observation of World Aviation Day, and a youth congress.
