Commissioner of Police: Over 300 officers awarded for exemplary service

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams is calling on all Belizeans to recognize the positive events happening around the country.

With regards to the “mishap” that occurred on Tuesday during the medals and awards ceremony, the COMPOL said that it was the fault of the parade commander and he has since apologized.

“The parade commander made the error he should have instructed for a left turn instead of a right turn. The officers who turned left did so because they knew it was to be a left turn. It was clearly an error on the part of the commander and he has offered his apology for it,” Williams stated.

He further called on Belizeans to note that at the ceremony, over 300 officers from the Belize Police Department were awarded for exemplary service to Belize.
