By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Audubon Society (BAS) is collaborating with the Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI) to conduct water quality testing in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
The BAS’s Terrestrial Research Team is working with a Water Quality Technician from the CZMAI with financial support from the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) Programme.
“Basic physical and chemical parameters such as pH, conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids, and dissolved oxygen were tested. The results show that CBWS’s water quality remains at a high standard for recreational and domestic use,” the BAS said.
