By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today. A few showers or thunderstorms will affect mainly northern and inland areas this morning, becoming isolated this afternoon. Tonight, skies will be cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms over southern and central districts.
High temperatures peak at 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 79 degrees along the coast; 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. Seas will be choppy with waves of three to five feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms.
Tides will be high at 1:42 this afternoon then low at 7:11 this evening. Sunset occurs at 5:54 this evening and sunrise on Friday will be at 5:40 in the morning.
Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail on Friday.
