Governor General to Attend State Funeral for Queen Elizabeth II

Contributed: The Office of the Prime Minister informs that H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor General of Belize, departed the country today en route to London, United Kingdom.

Her Excellency will be attending the state funeral and other events associated with the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which takes place from 16th to 19th September 2022.

During the Governor General’s absence, Ambassador Stuart Leslie, Cabinet Secretary, will deputize as Governor-General.
