Nine Wesley College students receive scholarships from Alumni Association

By Aaron Humes: The Wesley College Alumni Association (WCAA) has given nine students of the Methodist school full scholarships, including the cost of books, for the current school year.

The Association recognizes recipients Thomas Phillips, Kerwin Guild, Darshell Centeno, Abdul Myvette, Horace Alford Jr, Arelee Michael, Genevieve Saki, Christian Zabaleta and Marvin Grant and wishes them success in the upcoming school year. One of the students’ scholarships was donated in memory of the late Hubert Pipersburgh, the first Belizean to die of COVID-19 during the pandemic.

The scholarships cover all four years of study and will be awarded annually.

Alumni of Wesley are encouraged to become members of the Association and participate in fundraising to cover the cost of the scholarships.
