Queen’s funeral to end with 2-minute silence

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Palace officials revealed that Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will end with a 2-minute nationwide silence, CNN reports.

The funeral arrangements for the longest-reigning monarch will see King Charles III and members of the royal family walk behind the coffin as it is moved from the heart of the British parliamentary estate to Westminster Abbey for the service.

Queen Elizabeth passed away last Thursday at age 96.

She ascended to the throne in 1952 and, in June, celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years as Queen.
