92 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed, active cases up

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) reports that 92 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed during the period September 14th -16th, 2022.

With these new detections, active cases moved up from 136 to 164 and hospitalization is down from 2 persons to one.

The Ministry said that there were no deaths and regardless of the variant, the same health measures protect us from getting COVID-19.

Up to now, 68,704 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Belize while 680 people have died from the virus.

“We encourage persons 5 years and older to get vaccinated as soon as you can. If you are eligible to take a booster shot, please do so as well,” the Ministry noted on their Facebook page.
