By Benjamin Flowers: Belizeans wishing to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II still have until this afternoon to do so before the book is closed.
The book, which was commissioned by the Office of the Prime Minister on September 12, is housed at the House of Culture on Regent Street.
The book will be opened for the last time today at 10:00 .m. and closed at 1:00 p.m. The book has been signed by members of parliament, diplomatic officers, and Belizeans who were so inclined to express their sympathies at the Queen’s passing.
Queen Elizabeth II, crowned on June 2, 1953, died on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. She was the longest-sitting monarch on the throne.
Her funeral has been set for Monday, September 19.
