Children’s uniform parades held across the country

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: September celebrations activities are back after a 2 year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, students from across the country participated in their uniform parades proudly waving the red, white and blue Belizean flag.

In the Twin Towns, the energy and excitement began with an assembly in San Ignacio followed by the students’ parade through the streets of San Ignacio and Santa Elena.

Cultural presentations were held in Belmopan as well as in other districts to celebrate as part of the activities leading up to Independence Day on September 21.
