By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno and Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, Rossana Briceno signed the condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II.
The book of condolence is open at the House of Culture (NICH) on Regent Street for Belizeans wishing to pay their respects.
“An exemplary reign of 70 years… expressing condolences to the Royal Family and people of the UK on behalf of the government and people of Belize,” Briceno noted.
“Today, my wife H.E. Rossana Briceno and I paid our respects by signing the condolences book on the passing of our Queen Elizabeth II. We pray for peaceful rest for the departed soul. Long live King Charles III,” he added.
Belize will continue to mourn Queen Elizabeth II by flying flags at half-mast until her committal service on Monday.
