Traffic accident on Philip Goldson Highway sends two to the hospital

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A traffic accident earlier today on the Philip Goldson Highway has resulted in injuries to two persons.

The incident occurred between Mile 67 and 68 where a blue Mazda pickup from Orange Walk overturned on the highway.

Initial investigation reveal that 31-year-old Bernardino Tun, Belizean laborer of Santa Martha Village Orange Walk was driving the Mazda pickup from San Pablo towards Buena Vista. In the vehicle as a passenger was 19-year-old Melvin Tun, Belizean laborer also of Santa Martha Village. Upon reaching the curve on the highway, Bernardino Tun lost control of the vehicle and overturned.

Police responded to the accident scene and both Bernardino Tun and Melvin Tun were transported to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment.
