Altitude rout Benque Viejo United 4-1, regain top spot in PLB

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Altitude was merciless on Saturday night thumping Benque Viejo United 4-1 at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen regaining the top spot in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) with their 18 points.

Verdes, who have 15, play later today against Port Layola in Belize City, and should they win will regain the top spot but any other score will keep Altitude as leaders.

Colombian Andres Orozco hit twice on Saturday night in Benque to increase his goalscoring lead to seven. Dellon Torres and Colombian Miguel García converted the other two.

Initially, Benque pushed forward and got the opening goal in the third minute but thereafter it was all Altitude. The loss keeps the Benque side at four points in the seventh position.
