Belize Weather: Mostly sunshine on unexpected holiday Monday

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers or thunderstorms will occur mainly inland and over southern districts this morning and early afternoon and mostly over the south tonight.

High temperatures will reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees inland and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 80 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots. Seas will be light chop with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be low at 12:32 this afternoon and 11:11 tonight and high at 7:07 this evening. The Sun sets at 5:51 this evening and rises at 5:41 Tuesday morning.

The extended forecast sees mainly fair weather on Tuesday with generally isolated showers and thunderstorms with a few more developing over the south at night time.
