By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Officer, Adam Benz welcomed a group of 10 Belizean youths to the U.S. Embassy in Belize.
The youths will participate in the 2022 Belizean Youth Ambassadors Program.
The group will travel to the United States next month for a two-week U.S. government-sponsored leadership exchange.
“With participants from across the Western Hemisphere, Youth Ambassadors Program is U.S. Department of State Exchange Program designed to strengthen youth leadership skills. The Youth Ambassadors Program brings together high school students and established professionals who serve as their mentors. This is also a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded young people from the Americas and network to cross-pollinate experiences in civic education, community service, and social inclusion. The program is implemented in Belize by our partners at Love Foundation Belize,” the U.S. Embassy said.
“We wish this inspiring and dynamic group of wave makers an enriching exchange,” the Embassy added.
