By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with some cloudy spells today. Showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms will occur mainly over the southern districts this morning, moving over inland and northern areas by afternoon and in isolated areas elsewhere. Tonight, skies will be generally cloudy with showery activity over the south.
High temperatures peak at 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 94 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds are light and variable. The seas will be slight with waves of one to three feet. A flood watch is in effect for possible localized flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas in the south.
Tides will be high at 7:27 this morning and 8:36 this evening, and low at 2:46 this afternoon. Sunset this evening is at 5:41 and sunrise on Friday morning at 5:48.
Skies will be cloudy at times on Friday with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over northern and inland areas in the morning, over the south at night and isolated elsewhere.
