Man dies after being chopped to the neck in Orange Walk

By Aaron Humes: There was an unexpected chopping on Wednesday night in Orange Walk Town that has left a Belize City resident dead.

43-year-old Bernard Timmons of Neal Pen Road, according to police, was standing on an unnamed alleyway off the Belize Corozal Road on Wednesday morning when he was attacked from behind by a Hispanic man, who chopped him to the neck.

Timmons was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital and died while undergoing treatment. Police investigations continue.
