Belize Weather: Continued mix of sunshine and showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Relatively moist and unstable conditions continue in the region according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be mostly cloudy, becoming mostly sunny this afternoon. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated except for some light rain and a few showers or thunderstorms over the north this morning. Tonight, expect a few showers and thunderstorms developing along coastal areas.

High temperatures peak at 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at five to ten knots. Seas will be slight with waves of one to three feet. A flood watch is in effect for potential localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas this morning.

Tides peaked at 8:12 this morning. A low tide will occur this afternoon at 3:13 followed by a high tide at 9:01 this evening. Sunset this evening is at 5:47 and sunrise on Saturday morning is at 5:41.

On Saturday skies will be partly cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms over most areas in the morning, then mainly over the coast Saturday night.
