FIFA President meets Prime Minister John Briceno in New York City

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and President of the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) Sergio Chuc made a courtesy visit to Prime Minister John Briceño at the office of Belize’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City.

Discussions were centered around the greater support of the Government of Belize to sports, in particular national football teams.

During the meeting, PM Briceño committed to a greater budget for sports coming from possible gambling and lottery taxes.

Chuc also took the opportunity to convey his appreciation for the continued support of football.
