Orange Walk man found stabbed and chopped to death on Chan Pine Ridge Road

By Aaron Humes: Sergio Giovanni Valdez, 50, a naturalized Belizean of the Orange Walk District but with no fixed address, was discovered dead off the Chan Pine Ridge Road on Thursday morning.

According to police, a traveler on the road first discovered the body around 5:35 in the morning.

Police said Valdez’s body displayed stab wounds to the chest, upper right back, and a chop wound to the back of the head.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled and police investigations continue.
