Sixty-two-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting eight-year-old boy

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 62-year-old man from Belize City has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison following allegations of inappropriately touching an 8-year-old boy.

The child, in the presence of his grandmother, reported to police that on Tuesday, September 20, Glenford Herman Arnold, known to him as “Blackie,” touched him on his penis.

Arnold appeared in court yesterday, charged with a single count of sexual assault upon a minor, to which he pleaded not guilty.

In the circumstances, the Magistrate used discretionary powers to deny Arnold bail in the first instance and remanded him to jail until October 21, 2022.
