History of Belize’s Independence is being adulterated

By Hector Silva: As I heard the CEO of Education pronounce the steps taken toward the attainment of Belize’s Independence, I said to myself there goes the re-writing of Belize’s History. I was surprised to hear that Communist Nicaraguan Padre Cardenal played a role in connecting General Omar Torrijos of Panama to Premier George Price. This sounds like Assad Shoman’s propaganda of those days.

Padre Cardenal was a Nicaraguan Priest or Pastor who was going around the Cayo District, in particular, trying to down grade the Roman Catholic doctrine of the Holy Mass. – He introduced what he called Misa Campesina. (Like there were different types of Masses.)

IN FACT it was this same Cardenal who Pope John Paul scolded at a Public Gathering in Nicaragua, for preaching heresy.

NOW THE TRUE FACTS. – Belize did not enjoy the Latin America vote at the United Nations, NOR did it have the USA Vote. Coincidentally or by Divine Inspiration, Canada’s Prime Minister, Pierre Truduo, a friend of George Price was vacationing in Belize. At a meeting between themselves, Truduo told Mr Price that he was visiting Panama ad would meet General Torrijos. – He further suggested that if Mr Price agreed, he would invite the General to meet with him. – SO SAID SO DONE.

A couple weeks later, Don Agusto Garcia of the BELAMA project and a close friend of Torrijos informed Mr Price that the General would visit him at A CERTAIN DATE (No Fan Fare).

Along with Don Agusto Garcia, Hon Fred Hunter, Mr Bert Bracket, Myself and the General’s Secret Service were hosted at Mrs Sylvia Espat residence, She being the Honorary Consul of Panama.  The Meeting was so sudden that my Sister in Law, Mrs Doris Riverol Ayuso was asked to sow a FLAG OF PANAMA.

THIS HISTORIC MEETING BETWEEN GENERAL OMAR TORRIJOS and PREMIER GEORGE PRICE, WAS THE PASSPORT TO INDEPENDENCE.  I say WITHOUT APOLOGIES THAT Internationalization was second IN PRIORITY. Without the Latin America Votes, there would not have been an Independent Belize 41 years ago. Put this in your pipes and smoke it, you false propagandists. MORE ANOTHER DAY.

I’ll explain. – General Omar Torrijos was a well respected personality in Latin America, and also in negotiation with USA President Jimmy Carter over the Panama Canal..

SO Belize got not only the Latin America votes, taking them away from Guatemala, BUT the vote of the United States. THANKS TO GENERAL OMAR TORRIJOS, President of Panama. LET IT BE KNOWN that no matter how the rest of the world voted, THE LATIN AMERICAN VOTE AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA VOTES WERE MOST NECESSARY. Anything to the contrary would have delayed our independence.

ONCE AND FOR ALL, I PRAY THIS IS CLEAR BELIZEANS. Let lies be erased.

Note. Here I want to make a special mention of the important role which the HONORABLE CARL LINDBERG ROGERS PLAYED IN THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF BELIZE’S ASPIRATIONS. This and much more has maliciously been hidden.

1. It was Hon Lindberg Rogers who first addressed the United Nations Committee on DECOLONIZATION, presenting Belize’s aspirations for Independence.
2. It was Hon Lindberg Rogers who 1962, addressed the PAN AFRICAN BLOCK of Nations and presented the Belizean Aspirations for Nation Hood.
3. It was was the Hon Lindberg Rogers, accompanied by Mr Rafael Fonseca and myself who addressed the International Economic Commission for LATIN AMERICA, in Caracas Venezuela in 1967.
4. It was the Hon Lindberg Rogers accompanied by Myself who met a joint session of the Soviet and Cuban Delegates at the LAGUNITA RESTAURANT, at MACUTTO in Venezuela and presented our cause and it was so well received.

WHY HAS ALL THIS BEEN ERASED. I now say stop this nonsense. Don’t distort our history.
