Police charge Orange Walk Town man for murder of Bernard Timmons

By Aaron Humes: Orange Walk Police have formally arrested and charged Nimrod Tillett Catzim, 33, of Belize-Corozal Road, Orange Walk Town, for the crime of murder.

Tillett is accused of chopping Timmons, a librarian of Belize City, in the back of the neck on September 21st during Independence Day festivities in the Sugar City.

On Friday according to police, Dr. Roque Blanco conducted a post-mortem examination on the body of Timmons and certified the cause of death to be “transsection of the spinal cord due to chop wound to the neck” meaning that it was severed.

The motive has not been revealed at this time.
