Evacuations being done in Honduras following Magnitude 5 earthquake

By Benjamin Flowers: Authorities in Honduras had to initiate evaluations this afternoon, following a Magnitude 5.1 earthquake that sent shockwaves all the way to Belize.

Police and medical personnel in San Pedro Sula were seen at a shopping mall, ensuring that customers were taken out safely as a precaution in the event that the quake had compromised the building’s structural integrity.

The quake hit shortly before 3:30 p.m. nеаr Роtrеrіllоѕ, Ноndurаѕ.

Belizeans in the south and some in Belmopan reported to have felt the shaking not long after the initial report of the quake.

The effects were also felt in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.
