Belize Weather: Fine start to week

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, a westerly to northwesterly airflow is settling in.

Skies today will be sunny with a few cloudy spells and cloudy at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, with a chance for slightly more developing inland this afternoon and a slight increase tonight.

High temperatures peak at 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 degrees over inland areas and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the west to northwest at 10 to 20 knots. Seas will be choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet.

Tides will be high at 10:15 this morning and 10:18 tonight and low at 4:29 this afternoon. The sun will set at a quarter to six this evening and rises at 5:42 Tuesday morning.

The extended forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms developing and a chance for slightly more over inland and northern areas on Tuesday.
