Man shot while feeding his dog in Corozal Town

By Aaron Humes: A Corozal Town man is recovering from gunshot injuries sustained on Sunday night.

At about 9:10 p.m., Police responded to a report in the Halls Layout area, Corozal Town. Upon arrival, they spoke to Noel Lee Castillo, who was seen with apparent gunshot injuries to his body.

Castillo was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital for medical treatment.

Initial investigation reveals that, at about 9:00 p.m., Castillo came out of his house to feed his dog, and while filling a bucket of water a man fired several shots in his direction, which resulted in his injury.

Police are investigating the incident.
