By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister John Briceño and his delegation of government officials today met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken in Washington, D.C.
Their discussions were focused on progress being made by the U.S. Government on climate, energy, food security, and finance, which were all areas of concern highlighted by CARICOM leaders at the Summit of the Americas held in June.
The U.S. Ambassador to Belize Michelle Kwan has yet to be confirmed by the Senate, but Washington continues to make significant donations to both Government and private sector agencies in areas of health and citizen security, as well as national defense and others.
