Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) mourns the loss of two members following traffic accident in Sandhill

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) is mourning the loss of two members following a fatal road traffic accident near Sandhill Village this morning.

The BLPA issued a statement, offering its condolences to the family of Board Member James Dawson and member Eustace Dawson Jr.

“We will forever treasure their memories in our hearts. They will be sadly missed. May the Lord be the comfort and strength during this time of bereavement,” the BLPA said.

The BLPA also extended condolences to the family of Crooked Tree Village Chairman Brandon Gillett, who also died in the accident.

The three men were headed in the direction of Belize City when their pickup and a Silva’s passenger bus heading northwards collided head-on.

James Dawson and Brandon Gillett died on the spot, while Eustace Dawson died while undergoing emergency surgery.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under police investigation.
