Runaway Cayo teenager Wendy Avelar still at large

By Benjamin Flowers: Authorities are still looking for 13-year-old Wendy Avelar who ran away from home earlier this month.

Avelar, a resident of St. Matthew’s Village, was reported missing on September 6. She and her older sister Gisesel were last seen around 2:00 a.m. on September 5.

Wendy is described as being of clear complexion with long, straight black hair, medium built, and standing 5′ 5″ tall.

Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is urged to call 911 or 922.
