By Aaron Humes: There was a slight increase in the production of petroleum to 45 million barrels.

Beverages rose 27 percent, led by an unbelievable 191 percent increase in rum production and increases in soft drink and beer production, likely caused by high demand with the end of COVID restrictions and return of social gatherings, and the introduction of new products. Local milk production rose to 366 thousand tons as did flour to more than 4,100 thousand metric tons, but production of local sugar slipped to under 70 thousand metric tons, all managing demand.

Electricity generation rose to more than 89 thousand megawatt-hours and water to more than 900 thousand gallons.

In the services sector, production rose 17 percent, paced by hotels and restaurants, trade, transport, and even government services.
