SUV interior destroyed by fire in Belize City: police say arson

By Benjamin Flowers: A vehicle was set on fire early Wednesday morning on Western Avenue in Belize City.

Police say they responded to a call of a vehicle fire around 4:00 a.m. where they saw a black SUV, with its right front passenger glass broken and extensive fire damage inside.

The vehicle, which is the property of Anfernee Cornorquie, was parked outside of an establishment around 3:45 a.m., driven at the time by Joshua Ashburn.

An hour after the vehicle was parked, Ashburn was informed that it was on fire and he called the authorities.

Police are investigating.
