Belize represented at 41st International Civil Aviation Organization Assembly

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, Andre Perez is representing Belize at the 41st International Civil Aviation Organization Assembly in Montreal, Canada.

Perez and a team from the Belize Department of Civil Aviation are participating in discussions at the assembly. 

Perez says that on September 30, 2022, he met with the Minister of State in the Ministry of Transport of Singapore, Dr Amy Khor and Minister of Transport of Qatar, Jassim Bin Saif Bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti.

The discussions included an opportunity to discuss Singapore’s continued support for capacity building for technical staff of the Belize Department of Civil Aviation.

Minister Perez says that the meetings with the Minister of Transport of Qatar included support for the Belize Airport Hub concept as well as the feasibility study and transition plan for the devolution of the Belize Department of Civil Aviation to a Civil Aviation Authority.
