Belmopan City Council condemns vandalism at parks and playgrounds

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belmopan City Council has condemned acts of vandalism at parks and playgrounds in the city.

According to the Council, via a post on Facebook, it has become aware that one of the swings at the Harriot Topsey Park is missing.

“Our Garden City is known to be a quiet and safe space for children to play and socialize with access to playgrounds. We do not promote a culture of vandalism in our city and as such, we call on residents to partner with us in being vigilant in taking care of our park equipment,” the Council said.

The Council is encouraging residents to report vandalism to Belmopan police at 822-2222 or the Belmopan City Council at 822-2271.
