By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Three female entrepreneurs that participated in the National MSME roadshow are receiving $2,500 in seed capital.
The business pitch competition, which is a part of the MSME roadshow is sponsored by the Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs.
The purpose of the roadshow is to raise public awareness of the goods and services being produced by MSMEs.
The recipients, Camille Cutkelvin of Sewfisticated by Ceecee, Dianira Enriquez of Lionfish Souvenirs and Adventures, and Keidala Tzul of Keidala’s Home Spa were the winners of the pitch competition in Caye Caulker.
“With MSMEs responsible for a large chunk of our economic activity and jobs creation, our efforts will ensure a space for continued growth. Our focus is also encouraging women entrepreneurs and ensuring these businesses experience equity in the distribution of government and government agencies’ assistance,” Prime Minister John Briceno said.
