By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize Defense Force soldier is out on bail after firing a gun during an argument with his wife in Benque Viejo Town.
Thirty-four-year-old Julian Adrian Carseno appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday before Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft, charged with a single count of discharging a firearm in public.
He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 plus two sureties of $5,000 each. As part of the conditions for his bail, Carseno has to sign into the San Ignacio Police Station twice a week. He was ordered to seek counseling and also had to apologize to his wife in open court before he was free to leave. His wife was also ordered to seek counseling.
Allegations against him are that on September 24, Carseno, his wife, and her brother got into an argument. The argument reportedly escalated to the point where Carseno became enraged and pulled the firearm, firing a round from it.
