Eight adults, one minor charged with stealing almost $62,000 worth of items from resort on Turneffe Island

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Nine people, eight adults, and a minor have been charged with stealing almost $62,000 from Belize Dive Haven Resort located on Ropewalk Caye, Turneffe Island.

Brian Orlando Garcia, 27; Franklin Stuardo Guzmán, 42; Gambino Emir Nah, 19; Gambino Seferino Nah, 38; Juan Sabino Perez, 58; Christian Vigil Samos, 27; Armando Edwin Patt,30; Rinaldo Jueno Baptist, 20; and a 17-year-old minor, were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s court on Monday, all charged with a single count of theft.

In court they all pleaded not guilty to the charge and bail was offered to them in the sum of $5,000 each which they met. Their next court date is set for December 1, 2022.

Allegations against them are that on September 30, the group stole a number of items from the resort including $16,000 worth of garden lights, and two tables valued at $2,000, with all items having a combined value of $61,939,000.
