By Breaking Belize News Staff: Tonight, a 20-year-old Belize City resident is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being accused of armed robbery.
Davis appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge. Due to the nature of the offense, bail was denied at the first instance and he was remanded to prison. He can still seek bail with the assistance of an attorney through the Supreme Court.
Davis is set to return to court on December 7.
Allegations against him are that three men approached the victim, who was riding his bicycle on LaCroix Boulevard around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and robbed him at gunpoint of his phone.
The victim reported to police that he recognized Davis from the trio, and he was later arrested and charged.
