Belize Weather: Wet start to dry out later

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Relatively moist and unstable conditions prevail according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and a few showers or thunderstorms, mainly over coastal areas at first, spreading inland after mid-morning. Tonight, skies will be cloudy at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, mostly over the south.

High temperatures peak at 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 degrees over the interior and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northeasterly at five to fifteen knots. The sea will be light chop with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be low at 1:14 this afternoon, then high at 7:30 this evening. The sun sets at 5:38 this evening and rises at 5:43 Thursday morning.

Thursday sees partly cloudy skies with generally isolated showers or thunderstorms.
