By Benjamin Flowers: This week, Sustainable Tourism Ambassador and Miss Earth 2021, Destiny Wagner, made a donation of sporting equipment to the Seine Bight Village Council.
Wagner coordinated the donation through her NGO Operation Kingdom, a non-profit geared towards ending child hunger and promoting sustainability in Belize. She also collaborated with the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) for the initiative.
“The equipment will be used in the Village Council’s afterschool sports program. Students from the school and in the village, 5 years and older, currently participate in the program which includes sports such as basketball, football, and volleyball,” the BTB explained.
Wagner handed over the donation on Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Primary School in Seine Bight. The donation was received by the Deputy Chairman of the Seine Bight Village Council, along with Lorris Moreira, School Principal, and Mr. Aikin Palacio.
