Belize Fund for a Sustainable Future launches logo competition

Posted: Friday, October 7, 2022. 4:50 pm CST.

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, the Belize Fund for a Sustainable Future (BFSF) officially launched its logo competition.

The competition carries a $500 cash prize to the person who coins the logo which will be used to represent the BFSF.

The BFSF said that the logo must reflect its purpose, which is to disburse funding to projects and partners working in Belize to achieve conservation outcomes that are aligned with Belize’s national marine and coastal conservation priorities.

The organization also impressed upon participants that the logo must be timeless, memorable, with creative use of color, but simple. The logo must be visually appealing and easily usable on items such as t-shirts, mugs, and pens.

Those wishing to participate should submit a completed entry form which is downloadable at (https://forms.gle/PbSYYYfDR5Jeh3rWA). The submission should include the graphic files of the logo in high-quality JPG or PNG in both color and monochrome; and a brief narrative (not more than 200 words) describing the logo design elements.

Entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022.

The BSFS was formed through an agreement between the Government of Belize (GOB) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Belize finalized a debt conversion agreement enabling the country to reduce its debt burden and increase its investment in conservation.
