Handgun with live ammunition found on a passenger bus

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have recovered a handgun loaded with live ammunition from a passenger bus on the George Price Highway.

Officers at a vehicle checkpoint at St. Margaret’s Village, searched a bus around 3:45 p.m. and found a .9mm pistol with 11 live rounds in the magazine. The weapon was inside a blue checkered knapsack.

Nobody claimed the bag or the weapon so it was deposited as found property.
