International News: 2 killed, 6 injured in a stabbing spree in Las Vegas

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Two people lost their lives and 6 others were injured after a stabbing spree near a casino in Las Vegas on Thursday morning, LatinPost reports.

Authorities say that around 11:41 am, they responded to reports of a stabbing near the Wynn Casino and Resort on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Reports indicate that the stabbings occurred in multiple locations and some of the victims included residents, tourists, and showgirls, who take photos with tourists on the Las Vegas Strip.

One of the victims died at the scene, another passed away at the hospital and 6 that were injured are hospitalized.

Police recovered a large kitchen knife from the scene and later detained the suspect, Yoni Barrios, 32.

Barrios will reportedly face two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
