Leader of Opposition extends well-wishes on Taiwan’s 111th National Day

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow joined in extending well wishes to Taiwan as it celebrates its 111^th National Day on October 10.

Taiwan National Day commemorates the beginning of the Wuchang Uprising in China on October 10, 1911.

“The Opposition takes this opportunity to thank the ROC Taiwanese for their commitment to Belize and the vast economic and educational support they have given and continue to give to Belize,” Barrow stated.

“We remain two Nations bound forever by our shared values for human rights, Democracy, Freedom, and Independence, our strong conviction for self-determination and preservation of our territorial integrity, our indomitable will to keep flourishing in the face of insurmountable odds and existential threats,” he added.

Barrow said that the Opposition remains committed to the long-lasting friendship and support of the Republic of China(Taiwan).
