Verdes say their Sunday match against Altitude is still on

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Verdes FC say their Premier League of Belize (PLB) match set for Sunday is still on.

Earlier on Saturday, the PLB postponed the two Saturday night matches. The San Pedro Pirates vs Belmopan Bandits was scheduled for San Pedro and the Benque Viejo United and Progresso was set for Benque Viejo del Carmen.

The Verdes-Altitude match was earlier switched from San Ignacio to Belmopan and from 4:00 pm to 3:45 pm.

Nothing has been said of the Wagiya-Port Layola game scheduled for 4:00 pm in Dangriga on Sunday.

The PLB said the Benque Viejo United and Progresso was postponed due to bad weather conditions but did not specify the reason for the postponement of the San Pedro match. Fans in San Pedro said the weather was good on Saturday morning going into the afternoon but considering weather conditions can change at any moment the PLB might not have wanted to expose the Belmopan Bandits who would have to travel by boat to Ambergris Caye.
